Historical Society
Wagner is proud to be home to the Charles Mix County Historical Society. Located right off Highway 46, the historical society features several buildings that have been preserved for the enjoyment of the public. The tour able buildings include an original log cabin, church, small home, blacksmith shop, post office, and larger building containing artifacts from across the county. In addition to the historic structures the grounds also have a plethora of antique farm equipment, photographs, and artifacts such as clothing, typewriters, household items, and more.
The historical society is available to any person or group for a tour by individual appointment. It is also open each year over Wagner’s Labor Day celebration. To set up a tour contact Neil Von Eschen at (605) 481-8770.
